How is this tangerine oil extracted, and which method is preferred?
G4S uses Steam distillation for this grade. The peel is steam-distilled at low pressure, which gives a clean, sweet profile without solvent contact and without the heavy residue of an expressed oil.
Why this route
- No solvent is used, so there is no solvent-residue carry-over to declare.
- Temperature stays low, which protects the aldehydes and the fresh peel top notes.
- The natural marker ratios of the peel are kept intact rather than rebuilt from fractions.
