How is lime oil used in scented candles and home fragrance?
The oil is used as the fresh top note in candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays and surface cleaners.
Handling
- Typical fragrance load in wax: 3-10% depending on the wax system and the target throw.
- Add below 70 °C to limit evaporation loss.
- Citrus top notes flash off early; anchor with a base note for a longer burn profile.
- Test cold and hot throw on the actual wax before scaling.
The flash point and transport class are stated on the lot-specific SDS, which candle makers need for their own compliance file.
