What is the shelf life and storage recommendation for lemon oil?
Shelf life is 36 months from production when the pack is sealed and stored correctly.
Storage
- Sealed, in the original pack, away from light.
- Cool and dry: below 25 °C is the practical target.
- Ventilated store, away from strong odours and away from ignition sources.
- Refrigeration extends life for long-term holds; cold haze clears on warming.
Oxidation is the main failure mode: once opened, use the contents in a reasonable period or re-test. Re-test before the end of shelf life.
