How is this lemon oil extracted, and which method is preferred?
G4S uses Cold-pressed for this grade. The peel is mechanically cold-pressed (expressed) without heat, so the aldehyde top notes survive intact. No solvent enters the process.
Why this route
- No solvent is used, so there is no solvent-residue carry-over to declare.
- Temperature stays low, which protects the aldehydes and the fresh peel top notes.
- The natural marker ratios of the peel are kept intact rather than rebuilt from fractions.
The process route, the batch yield and the key operating parameters are recorded on the batch file, and the COA states which route was used.
