How is Citrus × limon oil used in aromatherapy?

In aromatherapy the oil is used for diffusion and for dilution into massage and bath blends, valued for its soft, uplifting lemon character.

Practice

  • Diffusion: a few drops in a diffuser; citrus oils are used for short sessions.
  • Massage and topical use: dilute in a carrier oil, typically 1-2%, and patch test first.
  • Blends: citrus-floral and citrus-herb blends for a bright, clean room character.

The oil is low phototoxic risk (distilled, not expressed), but standard dilution practice still applies. G4S supplies the SDS and the allergen declaration for professional use.
