How is osmanthus concrete produced?
Top uses solvent extraction of the fresh flower: fresh osmanthus -> salting / color protection -> solvent extraction (food-grade solvent) -> solvent recovery / concentration -> dewaxing / cooling crystallization -> osmanthus concrete. The concrete is the waxy aromatic mass before de-waxing to absolute.
Top controls solvent residues (GB 5009.262, not detected) and documents the actual solvent and recovery. It is not steam distillation (osmanthus flowers yield essentially nothing to steam); solvent extraction is the only route to capture the delicate ionone-type floral.
The concrete is the intermediate Top sells (separate from GD01 osmanthus absolute, which is the de-waxed fraction).
