Is zedoary turmeric oil compliant with EU REACH and flavour rules?

Zedoary turmeric oil is supplied with a REACH-compliant SDS (Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Article 31), and as a natural botanical oil it is exempt from full REACH registration under Annex V. For food-flavour use in the EU it falls under Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 as a natural flavouring preparation, and for cosmetics under 1223/2009.

  • The EU requires food-flavour importers to maintain a notification file under 1334/2008; we supply the data you need
  • For cosmetics, your responsible person prepares the product notification; our allergen data helps complete Annex III calculations
  • REACH registration is not required for this naturally occurring substance under Annex V, but a letter of access may be requested by your EU customer - we provide a compliance letter at no charge
