How does storage temperature affect the texture of wintersweet flower wax?

As a natural product, wintersweet flower wax is temperature-sensitive:

TemperatureState
< 20 °CFirm, slightly hard waxy solid
20–35 °CSoft, paste-like texture
40–50 °CMelting begins (softens significantly)
55–62 °CFully melted liquid
Temperature changes are reversible — the wax returns to its original texture after re-solidification, with no quality loss if melted correctly (water bath, < 80 °C). However, repeated heat-cool cycles and prolonged high temperature can slightly soften texture and accelerate aroma oxidation. We recommend stable storage below 25 °C for consistent texture.
