Wintersweet oil is one of the best-standardized Chinese floral oils. In 2025 the first national standard GB/T 44288-2025 (Wintersweet essential oil) was issued together with GB/T 44287-2025 (Wintersweet cut flowers) and GB/T 44289-2025 (Geographical indication product — Beibei Jingguan wintersweet); the forestry standard LY/T 3328-2025 regulates cultivation and raw-material quality.
