How is the wild rose absolute used in scented candles and home fragrance?

In candles and diffusers it is dosed at 1–5% of the fragrance load, pre-blended with a candle-safe base oil; its heavy, tenacious character gives a warm rose ambience through the burn.

Candle & Home Fragrance Use

ProductSuggested dosage
Scented candle1–5% of wax weight (as fragrance)
Reed diffuser3–10% of diffuser base
Room spray / linen mist0.5–2% in alcohol-water base

  • Pre-blend the absolute with a carrier fragrance oil before adding to wax for even dispersion
  • The absolute is a wax-soluble material and performs well in paraffin, soy and coconut waxes
  • Add at or below the flash point of the wax; pour and cool per your wax's instructions
  • Keep the fragrance load within your wax system's safe limit to avoid sweating or smoking

Ask for our candle formulation starter notes with recommended wax types and pour temperatures.
