What extraction method is used to produce the tuberose flower wax?

The wax is produced by solvent extraction of fresh, hand-picked tuberose blossoms — the classic technique used for premium floral concretes and waxes.

Process Overview

StepDetail
1. HarvestNight-picked fresh blossoms, processed within hours
2. ExtractionSolvent extraction (petroleum ether / n-hexane) at ambient temperature
3. ConcentrationVacuum rotary evaporation to recover solvent
4. RefinementMolecular distillation / gradient purification for purity ≥98%
Yield is naturally low — 0.08–0.14% by solvent extraction — which is why tuberose materials are among the most expensive natural perfumery ingredients. This method preserves the full aromatic profile including the heavier waxy constituents and the characteristic sweet floral scent with green-tropical undertones.

Residual solvent levels are verified per batch and reported in the COA. Contact us for GC-MS profile details.
