How is this sweet orange oil tested for heavy metals and pesticide residues?
Every batch is independently tested for heavy metals and pesticide residues before release, with results documented on the COA — critical for food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical-grade supply chains.
Testing Coverage
| Category | Parameters |
|---|---|
| Heavy metals | Lead (Pb), arsenic (As), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) — limits per EU/USP/GB requirements |
| Pesticides | Organochlorines, organophosphates, pyrethroids, multi-residue scan per EU MRL / GB 2763 |
| Others on request | PAH4, plasticizers, dioxins, mycotoxins (if required by destination market) |
- Testing is performed by accredited third-party laboratories using ICP-MS (metals) and GC-MS/MS (pesticides)
- Citrus peel oils are naturally higher-risk for pesticide carry-over, so we select orchards with controlled spraying programs and test each lot
- Results are summarized on the COA; full lab reports are available on request
- For EU-bound orders we can test against the full EU MRL list; for the US market, against FDA/USDA residue limits
- If your destination requires extra parameters, we can add them to the testing panel — lead time is usually a few extra days
