What is the difference between rose flower wax and rose absolute?

Rose flower wax and rose absolute come from the same solvent-extraction family but are different cuts of the extract: the absolute is the alcohol-soluble aromatic fraction, while the flower wax is the remaining waxy, alcohol-insoluble fraction that carries the fixative character.

Practical implication for buyers: the absolute is priced far higher because a tiny yield survives processing, while the wax offers the rose identity at a fraction of the cost. In a solid perfume or lip balm the wax is often the better economic choice; in an alcohol-based spray the absolute performs better. We supply both and can quote the combination that fits your formula budget.
