What is the solubility of the rose flower wax in common cosmetic bases?
The wax is soluble in ethanol and fixed oils, and insoluble in water — the standard behavior of a natural floral wax.
| Base | Solubility |
|---|---|
| Ethanol | Soluble |
| Fixed oils (jojoba, sweet almond, sunflower) | Soluble |
| Water | Insoluble |
Formulation Tips
- Perfumes: pre-dissolve the wax in ethanol or a fragrance oil blend before compounding
- Creams & balms: melt into the oil phase at 55–62 °C, then emulsify as usual
- Candles: melt together with the base wax at 60–65 °C and stir well
This solubility profile makes the wax easy to incorporate across perfumery, cosmetics, lip care and candle formulations. Tell us your base system and we will recommend the best incorporation route.
