How can I maximize the shelf life of rose flower wax?

Rose flower wax has a standard shelf life of 24 months from production, and with correct storage this can be comfortably maintained or extended under controlled conditions.

Storage FactorBest Practice
TemperatureKeep below 25°C, stable, no freeze-thaw cycles
LightAway from direct sunlight
AirSeal container immediately after each use
OdorSeparate from strong-smelling chemicals
HumidityDry environment, below 60% RH
Why these matter: light and heat accelerate oxidation, which can darken the color and fade the delicate rose aromatics; moisture can promote microbial growth on the natural wax surface; strong odors can be absorbed into the waxy matrix.

Signs of aging to watch: noticeably darker color, reduced aroma intensity, or an off-smell. If you store partially used drums, refill the headspace risk by transferring to smaller containers or adding a nitrogen blanket for long-term storage.

For stock rotation we recommend FIFO (first-in, first-out) and labeling each container with its batch number and production date.
