How is the osmanthus hydrosol produced?

The hydrosol is produced by steam distillation of fresh golden osmanthus blossoms, with the water phase co-collected during the same run that yields osmanthus essential oil.

Process StepDetail
HarvestHand-picked fresh blossoms at peak fragrance
DistillationSteam distillation in food-grade stainless stills
SeparationHydrosol (water phase) co-collected with the oil phase
PolishingGentle filtration and cooling of the distillate water
FillingAseptic filling, sealed, batch-numbered
Distillation begins within hours of picking so the delicate sweet-floral top notes are preserved. The result is a crystal-clear water phase carrying the water-soluble aromatic molecules — which is exactly the profile the finished hydrosol keeps.

Each batch is documented in the COA with distillation date, flower origin and QC parameters.
