What does the osmanthus hydrosol look like at room temperature?

At room temperature the hydrosol is a clear, colorless to very light golden liquid with a fresh sweet-floral scent and no visible sediment or suspended oil.

ParameterSpecification
AppearanceClear, colorless to light golden liquid
OdorSweet fruity-floral osmanthus, honeyed apricot nuance
pH4.2–6.2
Specific Gravity0.998–1.010 (20 °C)
SolubilityFully miscible with water
Because it is the natural water phase of distillation, it is perfectly water-soluble and free of the turbidity you often see in blended floral waters. Slight batch-to-batch tonal variation in color reflects the natural flower supply — this is normal and documented in the COA.
