How do you control heavy metals and pesticide residues in orris absolute?
Every batch is tested for heavy metals and screened for pesticide residues before release:
- Heavy metals per FCC 1996: lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury below regulatory limits (FCC requires heavy metals negative)
- Pesticide screening by GC-MS/MS multi-residue method covering the principal organophosphorus, organochlorine and pyrethroid groups
- Residual solvent verification for the extraction solvent, in line with food-contact expectations
Safety Screening
| Item | Method | Limit reference |
|---|---|---|
| Pb, As, Cd, Hg | ICP-OES / AAS | FCC 1996 / destination regs |
| Pesticides | GC-MS/MS multi-residue | EU/US/CN MRLs |
| Residual solvents | GC headspace | Food-grade limits |
- Results are printed on the COA; a third-party certificate can be arranged on request
- Since rhizomes are peeled and washed before aging, contaminant exposure is minimized at source
Share your destination market's MRL list and we will align the test package accordingly at no extra lead time.
