How is this Nardostachys spikenard oil used in perfumery?

A base-note treasure in Oriental, incense and woody-amber accords. Use at 0.5–2% of the formula (up to 5% in special niche compositions): it adds depth, tenacity and a sacred, contemplative character to incense-family perfumes (church, temple, meditation themes). It blends beautifully with vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh and benzoin — and with citrus/bergamot to brighten the top while keeping the mystical drydown. T/CICAD 012-2025 documents its role as a key material in high-end perfumery.
