Is this lemongrass oil certified organic or natural?
The natural character of the oil is inherent — it is 100% natural by definition of the process (steam distillation, no additives). However, organic certification is batch-specific: we can supply a USDA/EU organic certified line on request, sourced from Madagascar or Brazil organic lemongrass farms, with certification documents issued by an accredited body.
Certification Status
| Certification | Status | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Natural (100%) | Always | By process definition and COA |
| Organic (USDA/EU) | On request | Certified batch line, +30-60 days lead time, higher FOB |
| Halal / Kosher | On request | Plant-based product, certifiable batch available |
| Non-GMO | Supported | Single plant species, no GMO handling |
| IFRA / EU allergen documents | Provided | Batch-level IFRA 51st certificate and EU 2023/1545 declaration |
- Organic-grade lemongrass oil (citral ≥70%, USDA/EU certified) typically prices at USD 35-70/kg FOB vs 14-32 for conventional grades
- The organic line can also be supplied with SFME (microwave) extraction for higher citral retention
- If you plan to label a cosmetic or food with an organic claim, specify the certified line in your order — the conventional grade cannot carry an organic claim
