What is the solubility of the lavender flower wax?
Our lavender flower wax is soluble in ethanol and fixed oils, and insoluble in water — the typical behavior of natural floral waxes.
| Solvent / Medium | Solubility |
|---|---|
| Ethanol (95%+) | Soluble when warm |
| Fixed oils (jojoba, almond, etc.) | Soluble with gentle heating |
| Water | Insoluble |
| Glycerin | Insoluble |
Practical Tips
- Warm the wax to 50–60 °C before dissolving in ethanol or oil
- Stir continuously for a homogeneous blend
- In water-based formulas, use an emulsifier or a pre-dissolved oil phase
