What is the difference between this hydrosol and jasmine essential oil?

They come from the same dusk-harvested flowers but are two different fractions of the same distillation: the oil is the hydrophobic aroma concentrate, while the hydrosol is the water phase carrying the water-soluble actives.

For skincare misting and large-volume aqueous formulas, hydrosol is the practical choice; for concentrated fragrance construction, the oil or absolute is used. Many brands use both — hydrosol as the base and a drop of oil for intensity.

Tell us your application and we will recommend which fraction — or which combination — fits your formula.
