Is this osmanthus concrete Halal and/or Kosher certified?
Top can supply Halal and Kosher certificates on request for dedicated lots (osmanthus is generally compatible with both; certification is issued per batch / per request). Tell Top at order time so we reserve a certified run and the correct documentation. If you only need a general statement, we can issue a plant-origin declaration. Certificates are provided as PDF with the shipment or separately by email.
Is this osmanthus concrete food-grade, and is there a FEMA GRAS number?
Osmanthus is a traditional edible flower (used in Chinese cuisine, tea, pastries) and osmanthus absolute/concrete are traditional flavour bases. In China, food use is governed by GB 2760-2024 and local edible-flower management (osmanthus is outside the new-food-raw-material catalogue — verify the specific clause and any provincial rule). In the US, FEMA 3750 is the osmanthus (absolute/concrete) flavour number (Top cites it as a same-line clue, per COA) and US food use follows 21 CFR 182.20 GRAS framework. Top supplies documented lots and the food-use citation; the buyer confirms the exact food category and market eligibility.Because concrete contains flower wax and residual...
What are your FOB price tiers for osmanthus concrete?
Osmanthus concrete is a precious, low-yield natural floral material — fresh osmanthus flowers are tiny and the concrete yield is very low, so it sits well above commodity florals. Top issues an FOB quotation on request (FOB Shanghai / FOB Guangzhou): sample / 1 kg (highest unit), 1-5 kg (mid), 5-25 kg (volume), 25 kg plus (best).Grade drives price — standard concrete vs de-waxed absolute-grade, and organic. We do not publish a fixed price list — contact Top with target grade, volume and pack size for a formal FOB quote.Because osmanthus is seasonal and affected by weather/crop, quotes are time-bound.
Can buyers audit or visit your facility?
Yes. Top welcomes factory audits and visits (virtual or on-site) for qualified B2B buyers — covering the solvent-extraction line (salting/color-protection, extraction vessel, solvent recovery, dewaxing/crystallizer, vacuum concentrator), QC lab (GC-MS β-ionone fingerprint, GC-HS solvent residue, refractometer/melting point, Karl Fischer, sensory panel), packaging and traceability (flower ledger). We can show the O. fragrans (var. thunbergii, Guilin) sourcing and the Q/XXXX conformance documentation, and clearly present osmanthus concrete as distinct from the de-waxed osmanthus absolute (GD01). Audit requests should be made in advance so we prepare the line, documents and (where needed) an NDA.A successful audit builds the basis for an LTA and...
How is osmanthus concrete produced?
Top uses solvent extraction of the fresh flower: fresh osmanthus -> salting / color protection -> solvent extraction (food-grade solvent) -> solvent recovery / concentration -> dewaxing / cooling crystallization -> osmanthus concrete. The concrete is the waxy aromatic mass before de-waxing to absolute.Top controls solvent residues (GB 5009.262, not detected) and documents the actual solvent and recovery. It is not steam distillation (osmanthus flowers yield essentially nothing to steam); solvent extraction is the only route to capture the delicate ionone-type floral. The concrete is the intermediate Top sells (separate from GD01 osmanthus absolute, which is the de-waxed fraction).
What export documents and customs support do you provide?
Top issues the full export set for flavour / cosmetic material: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading / airway bill, COA (Q/XXXX conformance stated), MSDS/SDS, GC-MS report, and health certificate (on request). We prepare documents to meet your customs format and HS code (osmanthus concrete / natural flavour class, e.g., 3301 or 2106 / 1302 as applicable), and reference Q/XXXX and GB 2760-2024 (osmanthus) as the product standard. If your market needs extra certificates (Halal, organic, etc.), tell Top in advance. We cooperate with your broker for smooth clearance.
Is osmanthus concrete regulated as dangerous goods for transport?
Osmanthus concrete is a low-hazard waxy material and is not classified as dangerous goods in standard carriage regimes — low DG friction. That said, Top still issues an SDS (CLP for EU) and packs it sealed and correctly labelled; if a carrier treats it as a DG under a stricter interpretation, we declare and pack to the SDS-driven class and use qualified forwarders. We never misdeclare; the lot-specific SDS drives the transport class. Buyers should inform their broker of the material and SDS so clearance and last-mile handling are correct.
Can you customize specifications or provide OEM / private-label?
Yes. Top supports customization and OEM / private-label:Grade — standard concrete vs a de-waxed absolute-grade or a controlled-melting-point gradeSupply at a defined dilution (in carrier oil or food-grade ethanol) for easier handling and lower-cost trialsPrivate-label with your artwork and documentsDevelop a dedicated lot to Q/XXXX or your spec (melting point + β-ionone fingerprint + solvent residue).MOQ and lead time depend on customization; tell us the target grade, pack size and volume and we will quote. All customized lots still ship with COA plus GC-MS plus MSDS. (For food-grade needs we can supply the de-waxed absolute linkage via GD01.)
What is the country of origin, and can you provide traceability?
Country of OriginChina (Guilin osmanthus) for the processed concrete (Top's facility), with the botanical name and cultivar group (var. thunbergii, Jin-gui/Dan-gui) declared on the COA.Top keeps a flower-source-to-extraction ledger and can issue a lot-specific traceability dossier (orchard → harvest window → salting → extraction → concrete). For EU / US food or cosmetic audit, Top provides the supply-chain statement, batch COA and GC-MS floral fingerprint.Traceability traces the flower lot through salting and extraction to the finished concrete.
