FAQ Header
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ1 kg (samples 5-10 g available).Because tamarind-concrete is a processed natural material, trial quantities are supported. Standard Commercial Packs1 kg (sealed pouch / drum), 5 kg and 25 kg food-grade drums.Recurring / contract volumes get priority allocation. If you need below 1 kg for lab evaluation, contact Top — we may supply a paid micro-sample.MOQ and pack options are confirmed on the quotation.
Can we set up a long-term supply agreement (LTA)?
Yes. For steady volume, Top recommends an LTA / annual framework that reserves processing slots and raw-material sourcing ahead, stabilizes price (with a review mechanism) and prioritizes your allocation. The LTA specifies grade (Q/XXXX or your spec), pack size, volume bands, lead time, quality agreement and complaint handling. Buyers under an LTA get buffer-stock priority and a dedicated contact.
What is the lead time from order to delivery?
Lead TimeBuffer-stock standard grade 3-7 days to dispatch; fresh batch 10-20 days (sourcing plus processing plus QC plus documentation). After dispatch, transit depends on incoterm (FOB Shanghai, sea to EU/US about 25-40 days; air 3-7 days). Top gives a firm dispatch date on the proforma and keeps the buyer updated.
What defines the composition of tamarind-concrete?
It is an organic-acid-rich fruit extract (tartaric and citric acids dominate, with sugars and fruity volatiles), not a volatile-oil class whose identity markers are tartaric acid (key), citric acid, with sugars and fruity volatiles. Top fingerprints HPLC for tartaric/organic acids and GC for the fruity volatile fingerprint as authenticity/quality markers.Top fingerprints the acid/volatile profile and screens for added acid or synthetic flavour adulteration. Each COA reports tartaric acid content, total acidity, moisture, heavy metals and micro; the identity is the natural Tamarindus indica L. (tamarind) profile, not a single volatile oil.
Which Incoterms do you support?
Top commonly trades on FOB (Shanghai / Qingdao), CIF / CFR, EXW, and DAP / DDP by agreement. FOB is default for most B2B buyers (you arrange main freight and insurance). For buyers wanting simplicity we can quote CIF/CFR (we arrange freight) or DAP/DDP (delivered to your door with duties handled). The chosen Incoterm is stated on the proforma and affects who books freight and where risk transfers.Tell Top your preference and we will align documentation.
What IFRA and allergen compliance should buyers observe?
tamarind-concrete is a fragrance/flavour material (IFRA class as applicable), so IFRA (which governs fragrance materials) is largely not the controlling framework; food use follows China food-safety frameworks (GB 2762/GB 2760) and, for export, FDA 21 CFR / EU food law, and cosmetic use (if any) follows the Cosmetic Safety Technical Specification and EU 1223/2009. Not a major allergen in CN/EU/US lists; Top supplies composition, the buyer's formulator handles labelling.Top supplies the material and supports the safety review; the buyer's formulator remains responsible for end-product compliance. For export, Top provides CLP-format SDS and the COA + assay + food-use statement so...
Do you test heavy metals and residual solvents?
Yes. Every lot is heavy-metal screened (Pb, As, Cd, Hg, Cu (GB 2762)) and microbiologically checked (total plate count, coliforms, mould & yeast, pathogens) on the COA.If a solvent route is used, solvent residue is verified per GB 5009.262 (typically non-detect for physical routes). We do not release a lot exceeding heavy-metal, micro or solvent-residue limits.Buyers can request the specific panel and third-party verification.
Is this tamarind-concrete Halal and/or Kosher certified?
Top can supply Halal and Kosher certificates on request for dedicated lots (plant/fungus origin and generally compatible; certification is issued per batch / per request). Tell Top at order time so we reserve a certified run and the correct documentation. If you only need a general statement, we can issue a source declaration. Certificates are provided as PDF with the shipment or separately by email.
Is this tamarind-concrete food-grade, and is there a FEMA GRAS number?
Tamarind concrete is a standard food acidulant and flavour worldwide; it is an ordinary food raw material in China and for export under standard food frameworks. No FEMA GRAS number for the concrete; tartaric acid carries FEMA 3045 as a separate substance.Top supplies documented lots and the food-use citation; the buyer confirms the exact food category and market eligibility. The buyer confirms the exact food category and market eligibility with their own compliance team.
