FAQ Header
How do you handle a quality complaint or dispute?
Top treats complaints seriously:Notify us within the validity window with the lot number, COA reference and the issueWe review the retained sample and the batch COA / assay resultIf a genuine non-conformance is confirmed, we offer replacement, credit or refund per the contractFor disputes we can involve a third-party lab (SGS, Eurofins) with costs allocated by outcome.Keep the original pack sealed where possible. Our aim is a fair, documented resolution — we do not argue against our own lot data.
What documents (COA, assay, MSDS) ship with each order?
Every Top order ships with:COA (batch-specific, conforming to Q/XXXX — tartaric acid content, total acidity, moisture, heavy metals and micro)Assay report (key markers + heavy metals + microbiology + sensory)MSDS / SDS (CLP for EU) where applicableCommercial invoice plus packing listCertificate of originHealth / phytosanitary certificate on requestFood-use note for food buyers.Optional third-party test (SGS, Eurofins) at buyer cost. All documents in EN (and CN on request).
Is tamarind-concrete subject to CITES controls?
No. Tamarindus indica L. (tamarind) is not CITES-listed (cultivated/processed source) — no CITES permit required. Top ships the standard food/export documents.Normal food-safety regulation applies; no CITES hurdle exists for tamarind-concrete.
What certificates and accreditations can you provide?
Top can provide: ISO 9001 (quality management), Halal and Kosher certificates (on request), organic for dedicated lots (on request), a non-GMO declaration, certificate of origin, and a health / phytosanitary certificate for food import on request. For EU we supply CLP-format SDS; for the US we reference 21 CFR food frameworks.Third-party test reports (SGS, Eurofins) at buyer cost. Confirm available certificates at order time — some are per-lot / per-request rather than blanket.
What botanical species does Tamarind Concrete come from, and where is it sourced?
tamarind-concrete from Top is the concentrated aqueous extract of Tamarindus indica (tamarind) fruit pulp — a sour, fruity concrete used as an acidulant and flavour, not a distilled oil. Top declares the botanical name on every COA.Origin is Guangxi cultivated areas, China (and imported from Southeast Asia). Tamarind is a standard food ingredient globally; tamarind paste/concrete is an ordinary food raw material in China. Top keeps the species + origin declaration so the identity is traceable.Because it is a fruit extract (not a distilled oil), it is labelled and used as a fruit concrete / extract, not an essential oil;...
Do you supply diluted or blend-ready tamarind-concrete?
Top can supply pre-blended (defined ratio in a food-grade carrier) or pre-diluted forms for easier handling and lower-cost trials. Blend base and concentration are agreed per order and stated on the COA.Note that blending changes the measured specification window, so the COA always declares the actual concentration and base. Neat lots remain the default for buyers who formulate in-house.
How do you ensure batch-to-batch consistency and traceability?
Top controls consistency through Q/XXXX and per-batch QC matched to the reference profile. Traceability runs raw-material source through processing to the finished product with a lot-specific ledger and retention sample. If your application needs tight tolerances, tell Top and we can select lots from the same source or blend to a target profile. Every shipment carries a lot number linking to the COA and assay on file.
What does tamarind-concrete look and smell like?
AppearanceA dark-brown viscous concrete/paste. Odour/TasteCharacteristic sour, fruity tamarind odour.Because it is a natural aromatic material, the aroma is the natural Tamarindus indica L. (tamarind) character. Sensory evaluation follows an in-house panel; Top provides the odour/flavour description on the COA and can supply a reference sample.Store sealed, away from light/heat/moisture.
What after-sales support do you provide?
Top provides ongoing support: lot traceability and re-test within shelf life using the retention sample, documentation re-issue (COA / SDS / origin / health / phytosanitary cert copies), formulation advice and a responsive complaint channel. For LTA buyers we assign a dedicated contact and periodic review of grade consistency. We treat the relationship as long-term — the after-sales step is where we protect your production continuity, not an afterthought.
