FAQ Header
What is your order process and typical steps?
Typical flow: (1) inquiry with grade / volume / pack / destination; (2) G4S sends proforma invoice plus FOB quote plus specs (Q/XXXX); (3) buyer confirms and pays deposit (or opens L/C); (4) G4S produces / picks stock, runs QC plus assay plus sensory, issues COA; (5) shipment with full documents; (6) after-sales (traceability, re-test, complaint channel). For new buyers we may start with a sample order. Lead times follow the agreed schedule. G4S keeps one point of contact so the buyer always knows the order status.
Is there a national or ISO standard for pomelo-oil?
There is no single-product GB or ISO specifically for pomelo oil; citrus oil frameworks apply. G4S builds the spec on the enterprise standard Q/XXXX (built on GB 2760 flavour-use, GB 5009 series, GB 4789 series), aligned with CFPA citrus-oil standards where applicable. Must-test: relative density, refractive index, aldehyde content, Pb/As/Cd/Hg, total plate count, coliforms, mould & yeast. Background: Pomelo oil is a standard citrus flavour; no dedicated single-product GB or ISO exists, relying on citrus-oil and food-flavour frameworks.. Methods: physicochemical by GB/T 14455 (density/refractive/optical); aldehydes by titration or GC; contaminants by GB 5009 series; micro by GB 4789 series. Buyers...
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ: 1 kg (samples 5-10 g available). Because pomelo-oil is a processed natural material, trial quantities are supported. Standard commercial packs: 1 kg (sealed pouch / drum), 5 kg and 25 kg food-grade drums. Recurring / contract volumes get priority allocation. If you need below 1 kg for lab evaluation, contact G4S — we may supply a paid micro-sample. MOQ and pack options are confirmed on the quotation.
Can we set up a long-term supply agreement (LTA)?
Yes. For steady volume, G4S recommends an LTA / annual framework that reserves processing slots and raw-material sourcing ahead, stabilizes price (with a review mechanism) and prioritizes your allocation. The LTA specifies grade (Q/XXXX or your spec), pack size, volume bands, lead time, quality agreement and complaint handling. Buyers under an LTA get buffer-stock priority and a dedicated contact.
What is the lead time from order to delivery?
Lead time: buffer-stock standard grade 3-7 days to dispatch; fresh batch 10-20 days (sourcing plus processing plus QC plus documentation). After dispatch, transit depends on incoterm (FOB Shanghai, sea to EU/US about 25-40 days; air 3-7 days). G4S gives a firm dispatch date on the proforma and keeps the buyer updated.
What defines the composition of pomelo-oil?
It is a citrus terpene oil (d-limonene dominant, with nootkatone and aldehyde/fresh top-notes) whose identity markers are d-limonene (key), with nootkatone, citral, aldehydes and fresh citrus volatiles. G4S fingerprints GC for limonene/nootkatone and the citrus volatile fingerprint as authenticity/quality markers. G4S fingerprints the citrus volatile profile and screens for synthetic citrus compounds or adulteration. Each COA reports relative density, refractive index, optical rotation, aldehyde content, heavy metals and micro; the identity is the natural Citrus grandis (L.) Osbeck (pomelo) profile, not a single volatile oil.
Which Incoterms do you support?
G4S commonly trades on FOB (Shanghai / Qingdao), CIF / CFR, EXW, and DAP / DDP by agreement. FOB is default for most B2B buyers (you arrange main freight and insurance). For buyers wanting simplicity we can quote CIF/CFR (we arrange freight) or DAP/DDP (delivered to your door with duties handled). The chosen Incoterm is stated on the proforma and affects who books freight and where risk transfers. Tell G4S your preference and we will align documentation.
What IFRA and allergen compliance should buyers observe?
pomelo-oil is a fragrance/flavour material (IFRA class as applicable), so IFRA (which governs fragrance materials) is largely not the controlling framework; food use follows China food-safety frameworks (GB 2762/GB 2760) and, for export, FDA 21 CFR / EU food law, and cosmetic use (if any) follows the Cosmetic Safety Technical Specification and EU 1223/2009. Not a major allergen in CN/EU/US lists; G4S supplies composition, the buyer's formulator handles labelling. G4S supplies the material and supports the safety review; the buyer's formulator remains responsible for end-product compliance. For export, G4S provides CLP-format SDS and the COA + assay + food-use statement...
Do you test heavy metals and residual solvents?
Yes. Every lot is heavy-metal screened (Pb, As, Cd, Hg, Cu (GB 2762)) and microbiologically checked (total plate count, coliforms, mould & yeast, pathogens) on the COA. If a solvent route is used, solvent residue is verified per GB 5009.262 (typically non-detect for physical routes). We do not release a lot exceeding heavy-metal, micro or solvent-residue limits. Buyers can request the specific panel and third-party verification.
